Lindisfarne Bay Self-Catering Holiday Cottages, Northumberland
Our luxury self-catering holiday cottage offers superb self-catering holiday cottage accommodation in an equally stunning location on the water's edge overlooking Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle.
Feel the stresses of home and work roll away as you soak up the utter calm and peacefulness offered by this very special setting for a self-catering cottage holiday in Northumberland.
Luxury Self-Catering Holiday Cottage Accommodation
The 18th century millhouse, from which our holiday cottage was created, is thought to be on the site of the original mill that served the monks on Lindisfarne for many centuries. Today, the exterior retains all the style and charm of the original building, whilst the interior has benefitted from the highest quality eco conversion and has been finished with superior quality furnishings and equipment. The Mill House has a beautiful conservatory with glorious sea views.
Our holiday cottage has been individually styled with comfort and luxury in mind, with beautiful designer fabrics used throughout. The cottage is extremely well insulated so you'll stay warm and cosy whatever the season.
The living room has a flat-screen TV and is furnished with deep, comfy sofas and armchairs. A bay window with a window seat offers spectacular views over the bay.
The kitchen is equipped with all the gadgetry and essentials serious cooks expect, including a range cooker, food processor, great knives and plenty of good crockery, cutlery and glasses, so you aren't constantly emptying the dishwasher.
Some of the bedrooms enjoy beautiful sea views. The beds are blissfully comfortable and each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom (each with a shower and most with baths too). Twin beds can usually be converted to doubles where required. Top quality bed linens and deep, fluffy towels complete the picture.
All The Little Extras
As well as a portable TV, there is a flat-screen TV in the living room, plus, a DVD player, a small selection of DVDs, a radio, plenty of books, board games, cards, maps, walking guides, binoculars, free wireless Internet for use with your own devices, and an iPod docking station so you won't be bored, even - dare we say it - on a rainy day! For sunny days, there are swimming towels and Harris Tweed picnic blankets.
The Mill House can be booked along with our neighbour's adjoining cottages, The Byre (three bedrooms) and The Stables (two bedrooms). Together, they offer a wonderful setting for groups wishing to book more than one property in the same location. Although the other two cottages are not owned by us, we can organise the booking of all three cottages for you.
The cottage has its own good-sized, landscaped garden with mature trees and wonderful sea views. It has a barbeque area, dining table and chairs, garden seat, herb garden and ample car parking space. To the rear of the property is a large, shared, seaward-facing garden, also with mature trees.
